We are fortunate to have such excellent partners in the health services, who are responsive to the needs of our communities.
The Teyluva Cetre hosts a monthly health drop in, coordinated by Becky Cross, the health visitor for many of our project users. The health drop in is open to anyone, with the health visitor, school nurse, immunisation nurse, midwives and other health professionals regularly attending; children are welcome, and our staff are on hand to keep them entertained while parents & carers are discussing their health concerns.
This service is especially vital for those who do not access health care regularly.
Extremely poor health outcomes for these communities mean that they are seen as a priority group for the health services. TravellerSpace & the communities we support work in partnership with Public Health to make their services more accessible for the most vulnerable
