TravellerSpace provide early years support to Gypsies and Travellers across a variety of settings.
With our play bus we provide outreach play and learning opportunities to children who may not otherwise access mainstream provision. We are able to provide a flexible service that is responsive to the needs of individual families. Gypsies and Travellers may face barriers to accessing early years provision. These can include high mobility through frequent evictions, prejudice, both real and perceived, not knowing about what services are available locally and parents having no experience of early years provision.
On the play bus we carry high quality wooden toys, games and puzzles, culturally relevant story books and other publications, art and craft materials and outdoor play equipment. Where appropriate we aim to provide a transition between home and mainstream early years services.
